Jessie Maduka Joins Beyond the Board: German Triple Jump Star Moves to Belgium for Elite Training
Beyond the Board is proud to announce that German triple jump champion Jessie Maduka has joined its elite training group under the guidance of top coach Michel Boels. This marks a significant step in her pursuit of international success.
Jessie is a dominant force in German athletics and boasts an impressive record of national titles and international appearances. She claimed gold at the German Indoor Championships in 2023, 2024 and 2025, and in the 20204-25 season competed at the European Indoor Championships in Apeldoorn, the World Indoor Championships in Nanjing and the World Outdoor Championships in Tokyo.
This summer Jessie made the bold decision to relocate to Belgium to train with Beyond the Board’s high-performance team.
“I felt like I wasn’t progressing to my full potential.” Jessie explained. “In Tokyo, I saw Michel coaching Ilona Masson and that inspired me to make the move. He has so much experience working with top-level athletes and consistently brings fresh input and innovative ideas to training. I loved how engaged he was right from day one.”
Coach Michel Boels says: “Jessie shows great talent and determination. We’re excited to help her unlock her full potential and compete at the highest level. Guiding her and Ilona to the final of the upcoming European Championships in Birmingham is a challenge I’m ready to take on. They both have the potential and the drive to achieve it.”
